good days

So, productive day today. I almost hate when I have a million projects going on at once. ALMOST. I probably wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I didn’t. Today I picked up a big order. I am now working on an expert package. I am hoping my turn around time will be two weeks but we will see. This is my trial and error guys and girls. I will give it my best, because anything less would be uncivilized.

I also sent two contractor agreements out today. I need some sales reps. Well really its not a sales position, more like appointment setters but I figure if I title it sales, I would be less likely to get slackers. Is that deceptive? I sure hope not. In essence they need to know the sales pitch questions and answers in the event that the potential client asks some of the questions so, yeah, its not deception…right? Lord, now you have me thinking, pondering even.

On another note, that pink eye outbreak that tried to happen here at the Rush house, yeah, it didn’t happen. Want to know who stopped it? yup, This guy! *doing the running man* Can’t touch my babies!

Also today I have to put my diva packages together. I am so proud of my ladies who step out on faith and go after their desires. Its like they are my own children graduating towards the next step in life. I get so excited! From the beginning I simply remind them that they need just a mustard seed of faith to get started but they must increase from there. Plant the seed, grow the tree. A tree of faith is far greater and take you much further than the seed in your hand.

Life is funny. A few years ago we were just short of eating out of the garbage can and today I am helping people stand strong on their feet. Helping them leave a mark. It is an amazing feeling to pull yourself up from the ashes and still smile. God is so good.

Most times in life when we are faced with terrible(it seems) adversity we often ask, why me, but I challenge you to re channel that question and look in the mirror then ask yourself, why NOT me. You are stronger than you think you are. Remember that. Always remember that.

busy days

Yesterday was a very busy day but I got a lot accomplished. That frees up some time today to get some house cleaning done. Today was a half day for the bigs and tomorrow is their last day of school and the last thing I want is a bunch of children running around and making it worse.

I have a few emails to read and follow up on and I still have to close out my books for the month but hopefully this evening will allot time for a family movie and some popcorn.

There is always a lot to be done but you have to make some down time for not only yourself but also for your family. This is a lesson I have learned the hard way along this entrepreneur life. Because at the end of the day you are still a wife and mother and those positions you applied for need your attention too.

We got some disheartening news on a project we were working on yesterday it almost left me in a rut, but everything in due time. We have been setting up for this project for awhile now and it didn’t go through. I just had to take a deep breath and say, ‘We just have to try again.’ So back to the drawing board but the great thing about failing at something is you know what NOT to do the next time. It’s like that Aaliyah song, If at first you don’t succeed dust yourself off and try again”. (Yes I am aware it was a great saying far before it was a great song but the song sticks.)

I now know how to better plan for it and seal the cracks so that is solid and consistent. When we get this deal I will share with you what it is but right now I must focus on doing it better the second time around. I am simply excited to do it because now I know what I need to do. Like I say if you’re going to fail, fail well.

On another note there is a bad case of pink eye going around. Two of my children had it and it tried to get me. Yes, I said it TRIED to get me! The secret to stopping any ailment in its tracks is cleanliness. If I even feel a hint of me getting sick or catching one of the many viruses going around my OCD kicks in like Mr. T from the A Team! (Uh oh my age is showing). The reason I cannot always keep my children infection free is I cannot monitor them like I can myself. With this pink eye, they want to rub and touch, and I understand that so its not like I can tape them down to the couch or anything….(pondering). But what I can do is stop the infection dead in its tracks by making them wash their hands repeatedly and disinfection everything at least twice a day with Clorox wipes. At night I make sure to spray everything with Lysol disinfecting spray. (That was a plug Lysol and Clorox. Feel free to mail me my check.) I have antibacterial pumps around (which I need to go buy more). Trust me this method helps tremendously. Its a great habit to have to keep the days nasties away anyhow.

Well that’s all for me for now, go get something done today! Mean what you say and always mean what you do.
